<p>Espresso Love - a Martha's Vineyard garden cafe </p>

<p>Espresso Love is a Martha’s Vineyard boutique café with a growing
national presence. Its on-island reputation is founded on a reputation for consistently
offering high quality food, great coffee, and friendly, fast service. As a business,
Espresso Love’s strength is its dynamic, hands-on management by owner Carol
McManus and her family, supported by a team of professional bakers, chefs, and
wait staff.</p>
<p>McManus opened Espresso Love in 1992 in a corner of a Vineyard hotel. Initially
Espresso Love offered breakfast-oriented fare and coffee, but quickly developed
a lunch menu as well. Espresso Love’s following grew quickly as word spread
of its innovative food, reasonable prices, and pleasant ambience.</p>
<p>Espresso Love made headlines in 1996 when President Bill Clinton and the First
Family dropped in to sample the Presidential and First Lady muffins. Other celebrity
visitors have included Robert De Niro, Kevin Spacey, and Gabriel Byrne.</p>
<p>In 2001 Espresso Love underwent a major expansion on several fronts. In May
Espresso Love launched its web site, www.EspressoLove.com which offers coupons
and specials and also serves as a cyberspace marketplace for a full line of
Espresso Love products, including coffee mugs, beans by the pound, teas, and
wearable items.</p>
<p>In the midst of its Internet launch, Espresso Love moved its physical location
to a rambling cottage just off Edgartown’s Main Street. With garden, porch,
and inside dining areas, the new location quadrupled customer seating. In early
summer Espresso Love extended its business hours and its menu. From a bakery
and espresso bar, Espresso Love has blossomed this year into a full service
restaurant offering tapas, a raw bar, and light dinner entrees, as well as a
carefully selected beer and wine list. The local media—including New England
Cable Network’s Phantom Gourmet—have given rave reviews to Espresso
Love’s new incarnation.</p>
<p>An Espresso Love cookbook, Where’s the Love? The Espresso Love Martha’s
Vineyard Cookbook, is currently in development.</p>
